Only available as digital download now, the original CD and 12" vinyl versions of this EP sold out yonks ago. Hardly surprising really, given what an amazing collection of songs these are: this EP was put together at a time when Arab Strap were starting to branch out and experiment with just about any musical device they could think of or get their hands on. As a result, you have Hey! Fever, replete with barber shop quartets and R&B vocal histrionics; the bass driven Girls of Summer which morphs into a mashed-up, thumping club anthem; the bossanova/samba based ode to the delights of The Beautiful Barmaids Of Dundee and a poignant narrative of teenage exploits outside the school gates in One Day, After School.

I remember everyone at Chemikal scratching their heads when this EP was dropped in our laps but it was more out of bewildered respect than anything else...
