‘Marigolds (Barbara Please)’ is the new single from Admiral Fallow. Born from a lockdown writing challenge set by Jessica Staveley-Taylor (The Staves), Marigolds is a rumination on nostalgia, family, and childhood memories. Musically it pulses and broods, its chorus a one-word refrain, before bursting into colour and life. Originally intended for the First Of The Birds LP it now has its moment – with a nod and a wink to a Mommie Dearest quote oft-referenced in the world of drag. Barbara, please!
