NotesIn our opinion 'We Are All Sluts Of Trust' is one the truly unsung gems of the Chemikal Underground catalogue: boldly conceived and impressively executed, most of what you'll hear on this album was recorded live - a revelation that becomes even more impressive when you consider that there was only two of them anyway without a bass guitar in sight.
If albums often have recurring themes, with the Sluts Of Trust it's sex. In fact, the theme of sex recurs so often throughout this album that it never actually goes away - John purrs, howls and croons while Anthony batters away on the drums like his life depended on it. An audaciously raw album by a band that did things their own way - an addition to the Chemikal Underground canon that we're all fiercely proud of. |
