Mogwai's final release on Chemikal Underground before they moved away to pastures new, this four track EP perfectly encapsulates just how far the band had come during their Chemikal tenure. Featuring a host of extra instrumentation, this EP is arguably amongst the best work the band have ever done: the stately 'Stanley Kubrick' rubs shoulders with the luminously beautiful 'Christmas Song'; the Cowdenbeath Brass Band mournfully accompanies 'Burn Girl Prom Queen' and following the ebb and swirl of 'Rage: Man' the band sign off on their Chemikal Underground recordings with a test tone.
