 Colleague, ex-Delgado and the Grand Dame of Chemikal Underground (a position she'll no doubt be thrilled with), Emma Pollock finally returns to the heaving bosom of the very label she helped to forge and we couldn't be happier to have her back.
A debut solo album to the good courtesy of 4AD, 'Watch The Fireworks' was released on 11th September 2007 and with much touring (including a US jaunt supporting The New Pornographers) and continuing acclaim for her unique brand of songwriting, she managed to excise whatever pollutants lingered from her time with those three smelly Delgados.
Striking out on her own and ensconced in the creatively nurturing confines of her own label, we can expect a great deal more from one of Scotland's most gifted songwriters.
