After a couple of get-togethers in Nice N' Sleazy's, Aidan, Malcolm and the label decided that it would be a good idea to pull their first two albums together for a deluxe box set. It was inevitable, of course, that the idea would not just grow legs but also arms, wings, horns, tails, pouches, gills...you name it, and it developed (tortuously) into the multi-formatted beast we place before you today.
Much more than just a vinyl reissue of their first two albums, 'Scenes of a Sexual Nature' is as close to a comprehensive anthology of Arab Strap's recorded material from their birth in 1996 to their (temporary) departure for Go! Beat in 1998 as you can possibly get. Seven months (almost to the day) of planning has gone into making this boxset a genuine must-have for seasoned Arab Strap enthusiasts and curious Arab Strap virgins alike.
All the artwork on this box has been put together by Aidan himself; revising the original artwork on 'The Week Never Starts...' and 'Philophobia' as well as packing the rest of this behemoth with so many added extras there's an outside chance you might faint...
